猶予期限ギリギリのところで、米韓の関税交渉が合意に達しました。
トランプ大統領は自身のSNSで以下のように述べています。
“I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has agreed to a Full and Complete Trade Deal with the Republic of Korea.
The Deal is that South Korea will give to the United States $350 Billion Dollars for Investments owned and controlled by the United States, and selected by myself, as President.
Additionally, South Korea will purchase $100 Billion Dollars of LNG, or other Energy products and, further, South Korea has agreed to invest a large sum of money for their Investment purposes.
This sum will be announced within the next two weeks when the President of South Korea, Lee Jae Myung, comes to the White House for a Bilateral Meeting.
I would also like to congratulate the new President on his Electoral Success.
It is also agreed that South Korea will be completely OPEN TO TRADE with the United States, and that they will accept American product including Cars and Trucks, Agriculture, etc.
We have agreed to a Tariff for South Korea of 15%. America will not be charged a Tariff.”
「アメリカ合衆国が大韓民国とすべてかつ完全な貿易協定に合意したことを喜んでお知らせします。
韓国はアメリカに対し、アメリカが所有・管理し、私自身が大統領として選定する投資に3,500億ドルを提供します。
さらに、韓国は1,000億ドル相当のLNGやその他のエネルギー製品を購入することに同意し、投資目的のために多額の資金を投入することにも合意しました。
これは、韓国の大統領李在明（イ・ジェミョン）氏が今後2週間以内にホワイトハウスを訪問する際に発表される予定です。
新大統領の選挙勝利を祝福します。
また、韓国はアメリカ製品（自動車、トラック、農産物などを含む）に対して完全に市場を開放することにも同意しました。
韓国に対して15％の関税を課すことで合意しました。アメリカには関税は課されません」
先にご紹介したとおり、韓国メディアでは「2,000億ドル + α」という情報が出ていたのですが、それではまとまりませんでした。
※一部メディアでは3,000億ドルという情報もありました。
面白いのは「I would also like to congratulate the new President on his Electoral Success.（新大統領の選挙勝利を祝福します）」と、まるでとってつけたような言葉が入っていることです。
ようやく大統領に成りおおせた李在明（イ・ジェミョン）さんに大して祝意を示したのですが、取引の結果でした。
